Rock This Party

This morning, we went into the hall and Kate showed us some new dance moves that we didn't know and it was fun and the dance moves were very weird.

Pictures in the Mind

I have been practising use words that give readers pictures in their minds.
Last week we did athletics day.
We went to vortex. The vortex  was green. It was the shape of a rugby ball. There were holes in the sides that made the vortex whistle. The tail on the back was the shape of a plane’s wings. When I gave it my best chuck, it sounded like a plane or a jet. When we were practising, Mr K said, “If you hit me, I will give you some chocolate,” but he kept on moving. Nathanael and James were happy when they got their piece of chocolate.

Athletics Day

Yesterday, our school had Athletics Day and, when we were ready, we went down to the court and said our house chant. After that, I got really nervous in my
stomach.
First, we went to the discus. It was the shape of a frisbee. It was sort of hard to get your hand around it because it was quite big, you know.

Next, we went to vortex. The vortex was the shape of a rugby ball or an aeroplane.
Finally, we went to sprints. First, we did the 80 metres then the 100 metres. I came in 4th and, in the second race, I came in a tie with Flynn.

Cross Country

Grand Turismo

Grand Turismo is an everyday game that does lag a bit but most of the time it is fun to play on rainy days. To play, you need a Playstation Two. Two players can play the game. To start, you get a car and $1,000 but you need to afford more stuff.

My Wonderful Mother

My mother is wonderful because she likes me.  She cooks me cookies and she plays games with me like Catch, Bullrush and 4 Square.  She helps me tidy up my room and she helps me do my homework.  She lets me stay at people’s houses.  She takes care of me when I am sick.
My wonderful mother makes me laugh when I’m sick or sad and she lets me in her bed when I am sick. She is always buying me stuff like toy cars,RC cars, RC boats and Lego.
My mother is wonderful because she cooks me cookies. She makes them extra chocolatey!

Hippos.

Hippos
Hippos are large and heavy animals. They have short legs, four toes on each foot, a short tail, small ears, a big mouth,a large nose and they have very thick skin.
Where Hippos Live.
Some hippos live in Africa, near rivers to cool down, and to keep away from the lions.

What Hippos Eat.
Hippos eat grass on a hot sunny day.

What Hippos Do.
Hippos rest in water and sleep in daytime.

Hippos Babies.
Baby hippos have to stay away from the male hippos because some male hippos fight and the baby hippos get hurt.

Hippos Dangers

After feeding in the dark for a few hours, hippos go back to the water because lionesses come and hunt them for dinner.

Elgrego

Yesterday, Elgrego came to our school and performed magic in an anti-bullying show.
When we were ready, he started the magic show. Our school walked in and Elgrego said, "Alright. Let's start." First, there were three birds in a big box. Elgrego put a blanket over it and said, "It better work. It better work," and snapped his fingers and a rabbit  appeared. The whole school was amazed at that trick.
Next, Elgrego performed the raspberry fizzy drink trick. He poured some  raspberry fizzy drink into a cup and put it in the ups and downs box. He turned it left then right and upside down
and it did not spill. It blew my mind. "Wow!" I said.
After that, Elgrego was being a ventriloquist. He rushed out with an egg and a little green dinosaur popped out of the yellow and green egg. He got teased like me but he was green  and he sang some songs and Elgrego said some poems. He was a ventriloquist. A ventriloquist is someone  who talks for puppets.
Finally, Elgrego did the trick of walking through a brick wall. First, he put the blanket over the wall. He stood behind it, then he said, "Aaaaagh! Eeeeeh!" He started to walk through the wall. He took away the blanket and he was standing in front of the wall. He had walked through a solid brick wall.

Confirmation

On Wednesday night, a whole entire group from our school received the gifts from the Holy Spirit in Confirmation.
We first went into the hall. We walked into the church and sang a song. We sat down and Mrs Readman called out our names.
In the middle of Mass, I went up to the Bishop. He was wearing a red top and wearing a hat. He put oil on my forehead and asked me some questions. Most of the answers were "I do," and I bowed down to the Bishop and said, "Amen," and "Also to you."

A Fishy Tale

One day, my cousin and I went on a cruise ship.
We put our fishing rods in the water and both caught fish.  My cousin’s huge King Snapper bit my Snapper’s body off so I only had the snapper’s head left on the line, then my Snapper said, “Gidday Mate!”.
I screamed and wet my pants.  The fish bit my finger so I threw it in the underlay (an underlay is a rag that goes on top of a big bucket).
I took him home and hung him on my wall.

Holy Week

This week, we are learning about Holy Week, the week when Jesus rode  into Jerusalem on a donkey and people threw their cloaks onto the ground while waving palms in the air.
The Last Supper.
When Jesus got to Jerusalem, the first thing he did was meet his friends. They said, "Where do you want to eat the feast?"
He said there will be a guy in a house.Tell him that there will be a feast here. Jesus followers said, "We will go  and prepare everything for the passover feast."
Jesus answered, "Go into the city. A man will meet you. Follow him. He will go to a house. Tell the owner of the house the teacher wants you to prepare the room for the passover meal, so the followers went into the city and prepared the passover meal.
Jesus went with his twelve disciples and they broke the bread and he said, "Take this all of you and eat it. This is my body which will be given up for you."
When supper ended, he took the cup and said, "Take this all of you and drink it."
Jesus got up from the table and went to a different part of the room and wrapped a towel around him  and washed the disciples' feet  and dried them with a towel.
On Easter Sunday, Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead.

Boating With My Cousin

When I went boating with my cousin, we went to the beach to stay the night.
First, we towed my red and white boat to the lake.  I wish that it was a double decker but it is a speed boat.
When I got to the beach, my cousin and I set up the tent. It was hard work!
Later, we went on the ski-biscuit. I fell out! I was cold and wet.

Swimming Sports

The school and I went on a school trip to Ngaruawahia Pools for swimming sports.
Before lunch, I did my freestyle race. It was so hot that I was a hot steaming hotdog. The water was as cold as ice. Aaaagh! The water cooled me down and I felt better. I was kicking as fast as an SS car and making my arms so fast that they were going to come off my body. I could not be seen. When I finished, I felt happy. I came first because I'm a great swimmer.
After the Flying Squadron, It was the parents' race. I said to my mum, “Go, go, Mum, you are a swimming champion,” and it was 50 years before they last won the race. They always came in last.  My mum and Mrs Death were in the race too and it was the only reason that we won.
